About this track
TJC’s Sending Pathway accommodates believers in the earliest stages of answering the call to gospel ministry. This first phase of the Pathway helps participants Discover their calling, develop spiritual rhythms, and begin preparing to serve in gospel ministry. The Discover stage is for members who have little training and direction but want to explore the possibility that God may be calling them to be more involved in His mission.
Entry into the Discover stage includes those who:
- Heard a teaching at TJC and it provoked a thought that they may be called.
- Exploring the possibility of committing to a ministry long-term.
- Want to be more active on a TJC team.
- Are prayerfully considering joining a church planting or replanting team, or international team.
Pre-requisites to enter the pathway include:
- Pursuing covenant member of TJC
Training in the Discover stage will focus on “Spiritual Development” and “Calling”. Courses and training may include:
- Long-Term Questionnaire
- Background Check
- Short-Term Trip
- Deepen Discipleship reading plan
- Starting a witnessing journal
- Discipling another believer
