This trip was really eye opening for me as a mom of multiple children of what it would be like to be in the field full time. It was challenging and stretched me outside my comfort zone. It gave me many things to be intentional to pray about but most of all it showed me I have the capacity to love others from the other side of the world in a way I didn't know I could before. These beautiful people have a heart for Jesus and want more than anything to grow in their faith. What broke my heart was hearing from multiple people that they wish they had more people who could pour into them wisdom from Scripture and really walk with them through the Discipleship process. My prayer request is for God to continue to open their eyes to new and fresh wisdom as they seek Him in His Word. They are so diligent to study and I pray He will make that time fruitful and multiple it. I pray they are blessed with other strong believers who will sharpen them and continue to encourage them to preserve. I pray for the many who admitted to struggling with depression and loniness as many of them are the only person in their family who has come to faith. And I pray for a partnership with these people that would allow us to continue to bless them as they have blessed us.
