2025 Europe (Hungary) Summer Student Trip

WHEN
Jul 6 2025 - Jul 14 2025
WHERE
Budapest, HU
COST
$2,500.00

Description: Come help us impact lostness in Budapest on this Go! Impact trip. We will have daily time together to learn about methods of missionary work, then spend our afternoons applying what we learned. This assignment is designed specifically for older youth and students looking to experience first-hand what missions in an urban setting looks like. It is vital for the church to mentor and pour into the next generation. This is a chance for the Gen Z students to experience missions firsthand from those serving in the field. The entire trip will be a great investment in learning by doing. Join IMB church planters, Journeymen, summer Interns, and local partners in meeting, sharing the Gospel, and discipling new believers.

Equipment: Water bottles and good walking shoes You will need to bring clothes for 7 days of travel. A local laundry is not always available and the schedule will not allow time for washing clothes. Most places take credit and debit cards, so you will not need to exchange money. If you do need access to cash accessing a local ATM with a debit card and PIN is the simplest way to gain local currency. Exchanging dollars should be done at your US bank before arriving if you choose to have cash. A working cell phone is also advisable as you will need to communicate with other members of the local team. A virtual SIM card is affordable and ideal for most cell phones these days and can be purchased and downloaded prior to arrival. You can also check with your local provider to see their rates.

Health Conditions: Extensive walking, Extreme heat

Health Considerations: Due to the nature of this trip, participants with severe food allergies should not apply. You will be walking 12,000 to 15,000 steps a day. Each person will also need to be in good enough physical condition to walk up and down stairs without difficulty. The city can be very humid during the summer and many places will not have air conditioning to the level you are accustomed. Any dietary allergies will need to have a doctors note affirming these restrictions. With such a large group participating in this project only dietary restrictions (not preferences) are able to be accommodated. Pack prescription medications in your carry-on luggage and carry prescription medications in their original containers, with pharmacy labels -- otherwise they won't make it through airport security. Also bring along copies of your prescriptions, in case you lose your pills or run out. Don't forget an extra pair of contact lenses or prescription glasses. Carry the generic name of prescription medicines, in case a local pharmacist is unfamiliar with the brand name.

Qualifications: You will need to be teachable and flexible.
